A report on ESPN has stated that starting forward and leading scorer Kris Joseph will not be in Pittsburgh for Syracuse's game with the Panthers on Monday night. He has been sidelined with an injury he suffered in Saturday's win against Cincinnati.
Joseph said he has been feeling better but he will not play due to recurring headaches.
This is obviously a huge blow for the Orange, especially because they are going up against a talented Panthers squad in Pittsburgh. Even with Joseph this game would not be easy for Syracuse. That being said, this is a deep and talented team capable of overcoming injury, and would not shock anyone should they pull out a victory over Pitt.
Joseph will continue to be evaluated on a day to day basis. He will likely return for Saturday's game against Villanova.
