The Big East has already seen two upsets today, as No. 5 Connecticut and No. 7 Villanova both lost at home.
Louisville, led by Peyton Siva's 19 points, held on against the Huskies in double overtime, 79-78. Player of the Year candidate Kemba Walker could not come through for Connecticut (17-3, 5-3), missing potential winning shots at the end of regulation and at the end of the second overtime.
The win moves No. 19 Louisville (17-4, 6-2) into second place in the Big East. Connecticut drops into a tie for fourth in the conference.
Georgetown (16-5, 5-4) pulled out a 69-66 victory over Villanova (17-4, 5-3) thanks to Austin Freeman's 30 point burst.
The Wildcats are now tied for fourth along with the Huskies, while No. 20 Georgetown improved upon its poor start, moving into 9th in the conference.
