And so, without further ado, I give you the best
Cashmere Wright, G, Cincinnati: What comes to mind when I think of cashmere: strong, fine, high quality. Wright isn't too far off, averaging 9.4 ppg and 3.9 apg for the Bearcats.
Shabazz Napier, G, Connecticut: Napier's averaging 8.4 ppg and 3.1 apg as a freshman, getting serious minutes off the bench. He's also kept his turnovers per game (1.9) below his z's per name (2), which is always good.

Mouphtaou Yarou, F-C, Villanova: Even is hometown has a cool name: Natitingou, Benin. On the court, Yarou has had five double-doubles while averaging 8.7. ppg and 7.1 rpg for the Wildcats.
Jarrid Famous, F-C, South Florida: Despite being a senior, Famous has only played the past two years. His stats are actually down from last season, but Famous is still averaging a respectable 8.9 ppg. My Chris Berman nickname for him: Jarrid "Almost" Famous.
Buzz Williams, Coach, Marquette: This year's team is the weakest of the three Williams has coached so far at Marquette, but they are still likely tourney-bound.

ReplyDeleteTrue. It is fun to yell "Mooookieee!" like the crowd did yesterday. He can be our honorary sixth man.
